How investors may read it
An object clause amendment widens the range of activities a company is legally allowed to undertake. Here the widening is into foods and beverages, which sits outside the company's traditional spinning and weaving (textile) lines. An enabling change of this kind does not by itself confirm any investment, capacity, timeline or revenue from these new activities. Investors may watch for follow-up disclosures on the voting outcome and on any concrete plans in the foods or beverages space.
