What was announced
Sterlite Technologies has extended its Neuralis Data Center portfolio with Pre-Terminated Fiber Trunk Assemblies ranging from 48F to 6912F, a high-density cabling range built for hyperscale and enterprise data centres.
The two ranges
- Indoor assemblies 48F–576F: MMC, MPO and LC terminations for inside the data hall, meeting ANSI/ICEA S-83-596 and UL OFNP/OFNR cable standards, with cable diameters from 5.8 mm (48F) to 12.2 mm (576F).
- Indoor/Outdoor assemblies 144F–6912F: for campus, inter-building and inter-row links, scaling to 6912 fibers in a single cable at 32.0 mm outer diameter, with OFNR/LSZH jacketing and UL 1651-rated sunlight resistance.
Key features cited
- Connector options in MMC, MTP/MPO and LC formats, in Base-8, Base-12, Base-16 and Base-24 configurations.
- Single-mode ITU-T G.657.A2 fiber (200 µm or 250 µm), or OM4 multimode for indoor shorter-reach links.
- STL's patented IBR rollable ribbon technology with colour-coded bonded ribbon design for faster splicing.
- Every assembly is 100% factory tested, with Ultra Low Loss connector grades available.
Why the company says it matters
Operators want capacity online faster, in less space, with minimal field-installation error. As fiber counts rise, duct, tray and conduit space becomes the constraint, so factory-terminated, ready-to-install connectivity is preferred. STL's CTO Dr Badri Gomatam framed the launch around dense networks, tight timelines and pre-tested delivery.
How investors may read it
This is a product portfolio announcement tied to the AI and data centre demand theme. It carries no order value, customer name or revenue contribution, so the financial impact cannot be sized from it. STL states it serves customers in more than 100 countries with manufacturing in North America, Europe and Asia.
