What this update tells investors

• The company has added a retail outlet under its own brand in Jaipur. An EBO is a store run under the company's own brand, as distinct from SIS counters placed inside another retailer's outlets.
• With this addition, the company states its EBO count stands at 5, and its SIS network with P. N. Gadgil & Sons Limited stands at 34.
• This is a routine business update on retail expansion. The key quantities to note from the update are the store counts above, since the update reports the number of outlets and their location rather than outlet-level financials.

How to place it

• Store openings are operational developments; they show the pace at which the retail footprint is being built out.
• The update gives the counts as on the date of the intimation, so the figures are a snapshot of the network at that point.
