A Director (Power) is a board-level position tied to the company's power business. This is therefore a leadership change at the top, and the incoming director brings three decades of experience across thermal power operations, large project execution and clean-energy initiatives such as floating solar, pumped storage and battery storage.
Appointments of directors in public-sector companies are made by the administrative ministry, and the tenure here runs to the date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
