Farm Equipment
Domestic tractor sales were 50,208 units against 64,946 units in September 2025, a 23% year-on-year degrowth. The company attributes this primarily to the festive season shift, commencing in October this year versus September last year, and to a higher base in September 2025 that benefited from the implementation of the GST rate cut.
- Tractor exports: 1,892 vs 1165, up 62%
- Total tractors: 52100 vs 66111, -21%
Cumulative September: domestic 262872 vs 247336, up 6%; total 274068 vs 257025, up 7%.
Trucks & Buses (CV above 3.5T)

- Cargo vehicles: 2043 vs 1112, up 84%
- Passenger vehicles: 869 vs 792, up 10%
- MTBD total: 1788 vs 954, up 87%
- SML total: 1124 vs 950, up 18%
Management pointed to early festive buying, continued infrastructure activity and steady freight movement, aided by a lower base last year when buying sentiment was hit by anticipated regulatory changes, while noting that fuel and input cost pressures persist.
How to read it
Automotive and trucks volumes grew strongly, while the tractor decline is explained by calendar and base effects rather than by demand commentary. Year-to-date tractor volumes are still up 7%. Monthly volumes are dispatch numbers and can shift between months around the festive season.
