What the auditors drew attention to
The limited review report carries an Emphasis of Matters section. It notes that Rs.9,280.37 crore pertaining to additional contribution due to an increase in family pension is being amortised from the third quarter of FY 2023-24. The auditors state that their conclusion is not modified in respect of these matters. A separate note refers to the additional pension liability for the Par segment being charged to the shareholders' account from FY 2024-25.
How to read it
The financial results are unaudited and were subjected to a limited review, not an audit, by the statutory auditors; the actuarial valuation of policy liabilities in force was certified by the Appointed Actuary. The compliance officer change is an internal senior-management transition at the same level: the outgoing officer ceases as Chief Compliance Officer because the new incumbent takes charge, and the update gives that as the reason for the change.
