What was announced
Interarch inaugurated a new heavy structural steel manufacturing facility at Attivaram, Andhra Pradesh, expanding its ability to design and make complex steel structures.
Scale of Phase 1
- Land: approximately 20 acres, with balance land earmarked for Phases 2 and 3
- Built-up area: around 25,000 sq. m.
- Initial manufacturing capacity: 24,000 MT per annum

What it can make
The plant can handle large-sized hot-rolled sections and plate girder structural members for projects with stringent engineering and dimensional specifications. Target end-uses include high-rise buildings, data centres, semiconductor and electronics facilities, renewable energy projects, EV infrastructure and large industrial developments.
Why Attivaram
The location serves customers across South and West India, with proximity to industrial clusters, ports and transport networks. Interarch had earlier commissioned Phase 2 of its PEB facility at the same site, with installed capacity of 24,000 MT per annum and an investment of approximately ₹32 crore.
Management view
Managing Director Arvind Nanda said the focus is not simply on adding capacity but on building technological and execution capabilities for the next generation of industrial and infrastructure projects. Whole-Time Director Gautam Suri said the facility enables more complex projects with precision fabrication and specialised processes.
How investors may read it
This is a capability and capacity expansion beyond conventional pre-engineered buildings into heavy structural steel. The commercial benefit will depend on order inflow and utilisation of the new capacity over time.
