Numbers reported for the quarter
- Management said total revenue grew 28% Y-o-Y, EBITDA 14% and PAT 16%. In USD terms revenue growth was 22%, with the balance explained by rupee movement.
- Sequentially, revenue grew 6% Q-o-Q, EBITDA 14% and PAT 21%. This was described as the seventh straight quarter of over 6 percent sequential operating revenue growth.
- In the presentation figures discussed on the call, total revenue grew from 130 to 166 on a Y-o-Y basis and EBITDA grew from 36 to 41 crores.
- EBITDA margin went back to the steady-state level of 24 percent from 23 percent in the previous quarter. PAT margin improved from 14 percent to 16 percent, with PAT moving from 22 to 26 crores quarter on quarter.
- On a half-year-to-half-year basis, revenue grew 30%, EBITDA 18% and PAT 22%. Management noted that the year-ago first half included about 6.3 crores of Employee Retention Credit from the US government, an extraordinary income, which was removed for the comparison.
- Other income was lower, down 2 crores on a year-on-year basis and 1 crore quarter on quarter. Management said the treasury is mostly held in corporate bonds and government securities and, since these will be held to maturity, the mark-to-market effect is a notional one.
AI and client franchise
- The company received Claude Select Services partner status from Anthropic, which management called the biggest news of the quarter. It also has more than a dozen certified cloud developers and a couple of forward deployed engineers certified with it.
- It is ISO 42001 certified for AI practices, and uses these engineering tools as accelerators and as a door-opening showcase for clients.
- Salesforce and ServiceNow are the two technology platforms it focuses on. BFSI is a target vertical, with a dozen clients in that space, and storage and virtualisation is another vertical.
- The company says it has 50 large enterprise clients, including Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 names under non-disclosure agreements, and that more than 94% of these clients come back for more work every year. Average client relationship age is stated as more than nine years.
- Awards mentioned: nominated as a Best Employer Brand in Asia for the 10th time, and an Ecovadis bronze medal, which management said places it in the top 35% globally on ESG practices.
Geography mix
- USA 49%, Europe 40%, UAE 8%, and the rest of the world including India about 3%. Management described the European share as a counterbalance to a challenging macro environment in the US.
Guidance and outlook
- Management said it typically aims for a 24% EBITDA margin and 15% PAT margin (14 to 15 percent), and that the current numbers are in line with those targets.
- It flagged that continued investment in AI capabilities and in sales across the three geographies may put pressure on margins in future, adding that this is acceptable as the company is building the business.
- Other points from the call: the company has been in business 26 years, was incorporated in 2000, went public on the SME platform in 2017, moved to the main platform in 2019, made two acquisitions (Philosophy Group INC and Eternus Solutions), and did buybacks in 2021 and 2025 plus a bonus in 2026. It states growth of 23% CAGR since 2021.
