Recruitment billings and the timing of renewals
The company says recruitment billings can vary from quarter to quarter with the timing of customer renewals, as some clients renew ahead of schedule and others defer to a subsequent quarter. Adjusting for these renewal timing differences, management estimates underlying growth in Q2FY27 at approximately 14-15% year-on-year, against reported growth of 12.6%. Underlying growth was also approximately 15% in Q1FY27, when timing effects lifted reported growth to 17.5%. For the standalone business, management estimates underlying Q2 billings growth at approximately 14% year-on-year. H1FY27 recruitment billings grew 14.9% year-on-year; the company notes that over a longer period, timing effects partly even out, giving a more normalised view of growth.
Adoption of the company's B2B AI products continued to increase. AI-Rex and Talent Pulse, in particular, saw growth in both new customer sign-ups and revenue contribution.
Real estate
99acres billings grew 21.2% year-on-year in Q2FY27, compared with 16.5% year-on-year in Q1FY27. The platform's share of category traffic remained stable, with web time-share of 49% and app time-share of 59% for July and August 2026 (source: SimilarWeb).
Matchmaking and education
In Q2FY27, Jeevansathi billings grew 18.4% year-on-year and Aisle billings grew 40.0% year-on-year, taking combined matchmaking billings growth to 23.1% year-on-year.
Shiksha's traffic and billings have been under pressure, as AI-driven search increasingly answers user queries directly and reduces search referrals to the platform. The business is adapting its model and introducing new offerings to reduce its dependence on search. The company expects this transition to take place over the medium term as these initiatives scale, and billings growth is likely to remain under pressure in the interim.
