How the trend reads
- On the numbers shared, growth in both average and period end deposits is higher than growth in advances, whether measured as average advances under management, period end advances under management or period end gross advances.
- Within deposits, time deposits show a higher growth rate than CASA deposits, both on an average basis and at period end. This means the share of CASA in total deposits is lower on a year-on-year comparison, though CASA deposits themselves have grown.
- The Bank's period end deposits (₹ 33,275 billion) and period end advances under management (₹ 33,075 billion) are both higher than the average figures for the quarter, which reflects the position at the close of the period.
What to keep in mind
- These are business volume figures. The Bank states that its results as of September 30, 2026 will be subject to a limited review by the statutory auditors.
- Profitability, margins, asset quality and provisioning are not part of this intimation, so the figures here describe the size and mix of the balance sheet, not earnings.
