What happened
Endurance Technologies has informed the exchanges that its greenfield manufacturing plant at AURIC Shendra, Chh. Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra has commenced commercial production effective 25th September, 2026.
What the plant makes
- Aluminium die casting components.
- Serves automotive customers across both ICE and EV segments.
- Also serves non-automotive applications.
- The earlier plan described value added processes such as machining, assemblies, friction stir welding and surface treatments.
Capacity
- Initial installed capacity: 900 MT castings parts per month.
- Expandable up to 1,100 MT per month.
- The plant is designed to support future capacity expansion by installing balance equipment; such expansion will be undertaken when the Company secures further orders from its OEM customers.
Background on the investment
The project was first intimated on 16th May, 2024, when the Board approved capital expenditure for a greenfield project on a land parcel of about 11 acre at AURIC. The investment indicated then was about Rs. 4,009 million, to be financed through internal accruals. The stated rationale was to meet increased demand from existing and new customers, primarily in the 4 wheeler segment and in the non-auto sector. At that time, start of production was envisaged in Q1 of financial year 2025-26, with further staged expansion expected by March, 2028.
How investors may read this
Commissioning of a new plant adds manufacturing capacity and can support future revenue, though the contribution depends on order flow from OEM customers and the pace of ramp-up. Further expansion at this site is linked to securing additional orders.
