What was shared

The company shared a press release on its 50th Annual General Meeting held on 24th September 2026, covering FY 2025-26 performance, fleet plans and growth strategy.

Financial performance (FY 2025-26)

Business base

Operations continued at Mumbai Harbour, Jawaharlal Nehru Port, Deendayal Port, the Hooghly Estuary, Visakhapatnam and Cochin. In the North Eastern Region it completed the first year of a three-year contract for development and maintenance of a 32-metre fairway. It has also secured a five-year maintenance dredging contract for Mumbai Harbour and JN Port channels.

Fleet modernisation

A programme has been initiated to acquire 11 new dredgers over the next five years, with indicative investment of approximately ₹3,560 crore, proposed to be funded through a combination of equity and debt. DCI Dredge Godavari, a 12,000 m3 Trailer Suction Hopper Dredger being built at Cochin Shipyard with technical collaboration from Royal IHC, was launched in October 2025 and is expected to join the fleet during FY 2026-27.

Order visibility

During India Maritime Week 2025, the company signed 22 MoUs with 16 organisations, with an aggregate indicative value of approximately ₹17,645 crore and durations of two to five years. It is examining longer-duration contracts in the 5-10 year range.

Funding

During FY 2025-26 the company issued secured, unrated, unlisted and redeemable non-convertible debentures of ₹111.48 crore to Cochin Shipyard Limited. It is also deliberating a rights issue of approximately ₹1,000 crore to support capacity expansion and acquisition of high-capacity vessels.

New areas

The company is assessing inland waterways, reservoir and dam desiltation, marine construction, offshore installations and subsea cable trenching, alongside international opportunities and possible joint ventures.

Safety

For FY 2025-26 it recorded nil LTIFR, nil recordable work-related injuries and nil fatalities among employees.

How investors may read it

The swing from loss to profit and better margins may be seen positively, while the large fleet capital plan and the deliberated rights issue point to future funding needs, the details and timing of which would depend on subsequent approvals. MoUs are indicative engagements rather than confirmed orders.
