Why quarterly profit was lower even as revenue grew
The company said the fall in quarterly PBDIT mainly reflected higher input costs in Chemicals and lower earnings in the Agri input businesses. It also noted that the same quarter last year had one-time positives: Rs 76 crore of incentive from the Government of Gujarat in the chemicals business and Rs 15.5 crores in the Sugar business from an upward revision in power rates.
Dividend
The Board announced an interim dividend of 200% amounting to Rs. 62.38 crores.

- Fertilizer: revenue increased 40% to ₹502 crore and PBDIT grew 25% to ₹25 crore, supported by higher realisations.
