What this is
This is a routine shareholder-service communication, not a business or financial development. It is a reminder to investors who still hold shares in physical (paper certificate) form.
What shareholders must submit
- PAN, postal address with PIN code, email address, mobile number, demat account details and bank account details (Form ISR-1)
- Specimen signature update, where the signature has changed (Form ISR-2, with original cancelled cheque)
- Nomination (SH-13), opting out of nomination (ISR-3), or change/cancellation of nomination (SH-14)
Why it matters
Physical holders who have not updated these details are not eligible to lodge grievances or avail service requests from the Registrar. Also, with effect from April 1, 2024, any payment such as dividend, interest or redemption for such folios is made only through electronic mode, and only after all details are furnished in full.
How to submit
- By post or courier to KFin Technologies Limited, Hyderabad (Toll Free No.: 1800 309 4001)
- Electronically with e-sign, from the registered email id, to the RTA's inward email
- Through the RTA's web portal
Forms can be downloaded from the company's and the RTA's websites.
Special re-lodgement window
SEBI has opened a special window for one year, from February 05, 2026 till February 04, 2027, only for re-lodgement of transfer deeds that were lodged before April 01, 2019 and were rejected, returned or not attended to due to deficiencies. After due process, securities will be issued only in demat form.
Takeaway for investors
Shareholders are also requested to convert physical shares into demat form. The update has no bearing on the company's operations or financial performance; it is an investor-servicing and compliance intimation.
