What was announced

• A new Style Baazar store was opened at Fulbari, Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, today.
• The update was shared with the stock exchanges as an intimation of the opening of a new retail store.
• With this addition, the total number of stores as on date stands at 284.

The number to note

• 284 is the total number of stores the company operates as on the date of this intimation, after including the newly opened Fulbari store.
• That single figure is the measurable takeaway here, and it is stated as on date rather than for a past period.

How a retail investor can read this

• A store opening is an operational update. It shows the company is continuing to add physical retail points to its network.
• The store count is a network-size measure. It tells you how many outlets the company runs, not how much each one sells.
• Whether a new store adds meaningfully to the business depends on how it performs over time, so think of this as one addition to a network that now stands at 284.

What this update is, in plain words

• It is a short intimation that a new store has been opened and that the total store count is now 284.
• It is not a financial results announcement, and it does not carry sales, profit or margin figures.
• Investors tracking the company's expansion can add this new store and the updated count of 284 to their notes on the company's footprint.
