What happened
ACME Solar, through its subsidiaries, has commissioned additional cumulative battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity of 107.36 MW / 437.49 MWh across two projects in Rajasthan. Commissioning was achieved on September 30, 2026 and the Commercial Operation Date for both is October 02, 2026.
Project details
- FDRE project at Neemri village, Tehsil Rawatbhata, District Chittorgarh: first phase BESS of 53.73 MW / 222.969 MWh, connected to Neemuch substation. The complete BESS capacity of this project is expected to be commissioned within the current financial year.
- Assured Peak Power (FDRE) project at Kelan village, Bikaner: Phase III BESS of 53.63 MW / 214.52 MWh, connected to Bikaner III substation. Total BESS under this project now 159.58 MW / 638.32 MWh; capacity for the full 300 MW project is expected within the current financial year.
Both projects have 25-year power purchase agreements with a National REIA, which gives long-term revenue visibility.
Portfolio position
Total operational BESS capacity now stands at 4.96 GWh. The company describes a diversified contracted portfolio of 8,370 MW across solar, wind, storage, FDRE and hybrid, with operational capacity of about 3,057 MW.
How to read it
Adding operational storage capacity moves contracted projects into the revenue-generating stage. The company has noted this is a voluntary submission.
